Tonisha Fortune

I am Tonisha Nicole Fortune, a thirty-seven year old married mother of five sons. I live in Lake Charles, Louisiana and work in the medical field. I love to write, and I am inspired to share my faith with the world. Helping people help themselves is my aspiration, and my dream in life is to start many outreach missions to accomplish my vision.

In college I worked as a work-study student at Southwest Louisiana Literacy Council, organizing children tutoring sessions at local community centers. I also prepared reading games for after-school programs, and assisted with the Family Reading Nights.

Upon graduation from McNeese State University, I stayed with the Literacy Council for one year of service with the Corporation of National Service, as an AmeriCorps VISTA. As a VISTA, we recruited and trained Adult/Family literacy volunteer tutors across the board.

I have worked as an 411 Information Telephone Operator, and a Zero Toll Operator were I assisted thousands of people everyday. I was a 911 Operator and I helped people who were in emergency situations. More recently, I worked in the medical field as a Patient Access Representative. I love people of all backgrounds, and enjoy helping those in need anyway that I can.

I also give spiritual guidance and interpret dreams online for free on a social media site for mothers when asked. I call for peace, joy, change, and love. In my heart is the key to unlock the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.
